COMMUNITY UPDATES FROM COUNCILMAN JULIAN JONES

Every decade, the Baltimore County Council appoints a commission to recommend a redistricting plan. This important process ensures that our districts are represented by individuals who best represent our interests and values. Please join me on March 20th at 11am for a discussion on the ways in which redistricting impacts our communities. As citizens, we can ensure that our government reflects the people that it serves. REMINDER: SPECIAL EXCEPTION DENIED

We did it ! Yesterday, Managing Administrative Law Judge Paul M. Mayhew DENIED the petition for special exception, which would NOT allow for the developer who wanted to purchase the Golden Dragon (8109 Liberty Road) to replace the property with a 7-Eleven and a gas station and further ordered the Petition for Special Hearing and Variance relief as "DISMISSED as MOOT." This decision would have not been possible without the efforts of our community who made their voices heard at the administrative zoning hearing through testifying, submitting letters, writing emails and calling in. There is truly strength in numbers and this is a testament that further demonstrates the power of our community!
