Donate to the Eid Toy Drive

On Saturday, April 16, 2022, the Greater Baltimore Muslim Council (GBMC) & Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) are hosting their EID Toy Drive. This charitable event will help hundreds of newly arrived Afghan children celebrating their first EID soon in Maryland.

Eid al-Fitr is one of two holidays celebrated in Islam. Eid al-Fitr, is globally celebrated by Muslims it marks the end of the month-long dawn-to-sunset fasting of Ramadan. Celebrating Eid involves prayers, charity, social gatherings, festive meals or feast, and also gift-giving. This year, Eid is May 1- May 2nd, 2022.

They are collecting new, unwrapped toys from now until April 16, 2022. Those wishing to donate, you may coordinate drop-offs by contacting Nida Jamal (CAIR) 914-484-0313, or Aisha Khan (GBMC) 443-851-1411.
