Lochearn Community Assn and SOY Baltimore Team Up for Movie Night

Friday night was a beautiful but cool night to be out under the stars. The Lochearn Improvement Association, Inc (LIA). did just that. On Friday, October 14th the community association teamed up with Save Our Young (SOY) Baltimore to bring movie night alive under the stars. The community movie night brought area residents for a great movie, popcorn, and other snacks with hot and cold beverages compliments of the Lochearn Improvement Association. The event was coordinated by Lochearn resident, and LIA board member, Darrick Palmer, who put his extensive experience in event coordinating to work. Along with the movie, Darrick and his team of helpers set the atmosphere with movie theater decor, popcorn machine, and a fire pit. According to the Lochearn Improvement Association president, Bryen Glass, "Mr. Palmer has shown great passion and excitement for initiating and improving community engagement. We have some big things planned for the community for this year and the next."
Bryen Glass, president of the Lochearn Improvement Association, reached out to Kawahn Young, Founder and Executive Director of SOY Baltimore, to help make this event happen. Kawahn is no stranger to great community events that benefit the community youth in both Baltimore City and Baltimore County. Bryen added that the Lochearn Improvement Association is planning more community events and activities to motivate community residents to become more active in the community.
