MD State Troopers Target I-695 & I-70

County residents for years have been complaining about reckless drivers, speeders, or drivers participating in speed contests. The activities often start on I-70 and spread throughout the community making the community unsafe and annoying residents. The recent outcry has had local and state police conducting focused enforcement efforts, sometimes jointly, to address the complaints. According to the Maryland State Police Twitter account, MSP conducted a focused enforcement effort last night on I-695 & I-70, which resulted in the issuance of 162 citations, warnings and equipment repair orders. They arrested one DUI driver, and made four criminal arrests.
