The Baltimore County Police Woodlawn Community Outreach Team has partnered with Saving Our Young (SOY), a nonprofit youth organization, to host a Community Unity Day event. The event includes the Annual SOY Bike Ride, community cookout, special events for kids and adults, and a backpack give away.


Sponsors are needed to provide students with backpacks & supplies, bottled water, and snacks. The event will be held Saturday, August 7, 2021 at the Woodlawn High School located at 1801 Woodlawn Drive, Gwynn Oak, MD 21207 from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm. GRAB & GO MEALS: PROVIDED BY THE BALTIMORE COUNTY PUBLIC LIBRARY As nutrition is an integral part of every child's education and many families have limited access to food at this time, Baltimore County Public Library is providing grab-and-go meals to youth 18 and younger at 11 of its branches through August. Participating Branches: The meals, prepared by Good Harvest, include two breakfasts and two lunches, and will be served at the following locations via curbside service from noon to 2:00PM each Monday, Wednesday and Friday:

When You Arrive: Once a parent, guardian or child arrives at the location, they should follow the curbside instructions posted at the front of the building. The child does not need to be present for an adult to pick up a meal. Visitors are encouraged to browse the stacks or pick up any items they have on hold at the library at that time.
